Jonathan Naylor – Co Chair South Hams Hub Local Governance Committee – Safeguarding Lead

Jonathan is married with four children and has lived in the Kingsbridge area for 15 years. He served as a school governor in Yorkshire prior to living in Devon and became a governor at Charleton when first moving to the South Hams. He has also served as a local parish councillor.

Three of his four children attended Charleton and now two daughters attend Kingsbridge College, one daughter is at Bath University with ambitions to be a primary school teacher and his eldest son has just qualified to be a secondary physics teacher.

Jonathan has worked most of his career for an international market leader in the printing and graphics equipment industry at senior management level and is now a company director within the same sector and management consultant within the local authority licensing sector.  His experience includes many years of governor service along with management skills in a range of areas.

Jonathan has always had a clear passion for governance and primary education and believes that every child deserves an equal opportunity to change their life through education.  As part of Learning Academy Partnership his goal is to ensure the ongoing success for the South Hams Hub of academies.
